Carvoeiro superstar Beto Kalulu seeks support to release album celebrating 45 years of music

Few musicians in the Algarve can brag about having a career as long and successful as Beto Kalulu’s. For 45 years, the Carvoeiro-based singer and percussionist has been delighting crowds with his unique African-inspired style of music.
With three solo albums already under his belt and several collaborations with other artists, the charismatic musician with his distinctive big hair has now launched a crowdfunding campaign to help him cover the costs of his latest album which aims to celebrate his 45 years of music.
He told the Resident that the album, produced by long-time friend and accomplished musician Enzo D’Aversa, is due to be released around the start of September and will feature seven original songs and four new versions of some of his classics.
