Algarve hotels welcome nearly half-a-million tourists in September
Tourism officials in the Algarve are celebrating yet another important mark after the region’s hotels welcomed around 445,000 guests in September, which translated into 1.9 million overnight stays. These numbers represent 3.9% and 1.3% year-on-year increases, respectively.
Revenue (+7.2%) and overnight stays by Portuguese holidaymakers (+7%) also increased, helping strengthen the Algarve’s status as the country’s main holiday destination.
